In Memoriam

“God is a concept, by which we measure our pain.
I’ll say it again.
God is a concept, by which we measure our pain.
I don’t believe in magic, I don’t believe in I-ching, I don’t believe in Bible, I don’t believe in tarot, I don’t believe in Hitler, I don’t believe in Jesus, I don’t believe in Kennedy, I don’t believe in Buddha, I don’t believe in Mantra, I don’t believe in Gita, I don’t believe in Yoga, I don’t believe in kings, I don’t believe in Elvis, I don’t believe in Zimmerman, I don’t believe in Beatles, I just believe in me. Yoko and me. And that’s reality
The dream is over. What can I say? The dream is over, yesterday I was the Dreamweaver but now I’m reborn. I was the Walrus, but now I’m John. And so dear friends you’ll just have to carry on.
The dream is over.”

Haiku of the Short Timer

Ever have a job you hated more than anything else? Remember how you felt when you quit? Did you revel in an elation that could only be described in Haiku? I sure as shit did!

My notice I gave
The soul is mine once again
At last I am free

Humanity

How easy it could be to see if we all knew what the flipside would be.
Never having to think or believe, just answers to questions of which you conceive.
In the case of a jam or approaching a fork, you’d know where to veer by popping that cork,
And once it is opened, once it spills out, your love of suspense, the wonder of doubt,
Evaporate right in front of your eyes as you watch the remnants of why drift high through the sky.
If mystery truly is precious in life, why is it so often coupled with strife?
Perhaps it is me, perhaps it is you, perhaps we both share the same skewed view.
If given the chance to always be right or offered the option of needing to fight,
I would take the chance to always be right. My defense is simply: the intolerable human plight.
